Meet Clorinda
Clorinda Fresquez-Tria is a mixed-media textile artist and founder of Clorinda Design Studio. She creates fine art quilts and fiber-based artwork that combine painting, fabric collage, and threadwork to build layered visual stories. Her work explores themes of resilience, transformation, and the beauty of the natural world.
Raised on a ranch in New Mexico, Clorinda developed a deep appreciation for nature, hard work, and the quiet strength found in everyday life. These early experiences continue to influence her artistic voice, often appearing in her imagery and textured surfaces.
In addition to creating original artwork, Clorinda teaches workshops and classes that encourage others to explore creativity through fabric, color, and mixed-media techniques. Through both her art and teaching, she is dedicated to inspiring others to discover their own creative expression and to see textiles as a powerful medium for storytelling.
